Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) continues with its achievements in quality assurance in higher education and sustainable education approach. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program of the Faculty of Engineering has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) for five years, while the Computer Engineering Program has been accredited for two years. In addition, both programs have been awarded the EUR-ACE Label, certifying that they meet internationally recognized quality standards for engineering education.

Quality Assurance Advances in BEUN Engineering Education

While MÜDEK accreditation proves that educational programs are carried out in accordance with national and international quality standards and quality focused development approaches are adopted, EUR-ACE label verifies that engineering education has reached the international standards and stands out as a significant gain strengthening the possibility of its recognition on international platforms particularly in Europe.

The fact that Electrical and Electronics Engineering program is accredited until 2031 and Computer Engineering program until 2028 will provide students with the opportunity to get education in internationally recognized programs and more advantages in their academic and professional careers.

Rector Özölçer: “We Will Continue to Raise International Quality Standards in Engineering Education”

In his remarks on the subject, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:

“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, one of the most well-established institutions in our country, we consider improving our educational activities in line with the quality assurance. The fact that Electrical and Electronics Engineering program is accredited until 2031 and Computer Engineering program until 2028 by MÜDEK is a sign of our education quality, academic infrastructure, and management approach focused on continuous development.

Moreover, the fact that both of our programs have been awarded the EUR-ACE Label, which symbolizes international quality assurance in engineering education, demonstrates that this achievement has also been recognized at the international level. This significant accomplishment confirms that our engineering programs meet internationally recognized quality standards, particularly those accepted across Europe, while substantially enhancing the international recognition and prestige of our graduates' degrees.

Today, engineering education requires the cultivation of engineers who are inquisitive, productive, closely follow technological developments, possess innovative perspectives, and contribute to the shared future of humanity.
