A third-year student at the Department of Special Education of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Ereğli Faculty of Education, Emre Üstündağ achieved a great success being the champion of the “19th May Billiards Tournament” organized by Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and Türkiye Billiards Federation as part of the 19th May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
Bringing the 19th May spirit together with sportsmanship and determination, the tournament witnessed great excitement, and the performances were widely appreciated by the audience. With his outstanding performance, Emre Üstündağ achieved the first place undefeated.
BEUN Success at the Tournament
The achievement of Emre Üstündağ in the tournament witnessing competitive matches was appreciated by BEUN community and sports community. The tournament organized as part of the 19th May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day demonstrated the sportsmanship and fair-play spirit. At the ceremony held at the end of the tournament, Emre Üstündağ was presented with championship award.

In his remarks on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that it was a source of pride and satisfaction to have success in the field of sports and added:

As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we believe it is significant for our students to raise themselves in the fields of sports, culture, and art. The success they achieve reflects the strong vision and qualified educational approach of our university. I wholeheartedly congratulate our student and wish him continuous success.
