BEUN Continues to Enhance Its Academic Excellence with Four New Programs in Software and Information Technologies

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), with the approval of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), will begin admitting students to four new programs in the fields of software and information technologies in the 2025–2026 academic year.

With this recent approval by YÖK, BEUN continues to strengthen its educational activities by launching the following new programs:

  • Software Development Department under the Faculty of Science,
  • Information Systems and Technologies Programming under the School of Applied Sciences,
  • Corporate Information Systems Programming at Devrek Vocational School,
  • Cloud Computing Operations Programming at Kdz. Ereğli Vocational School.

These new offerings aim to provide students with advanced educational opportunities aligned with current technological advancements in software and informatics.

Commenting on the newly established programs, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated: “As BEUN, we continue to share our remarkable national and international achievements with our students through new academic programs shaped by the latest developments in technology and software. With the recent approval by YÖK, we have added the Software Development, Information Systems and Technologies, Corporate Information Systems, and Cloud Computing Operations programs to our educational portfolio.
Our dedication to training a qualified, locally rooted national workforce—essential for building the Century of Türkiye—is now reinforced with the launch of these programs.

I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and his esteemed administrative team for their valuable support and contributions to the establishment of these departments. I also thank all our academic and administrative staff who played a role in this process. I hope these new programs will bring success and prosperity to our university, our city, and our country.”

Each program will begin student admissions in the 2025–2026 academic year, with a quota of 30 students per program.
