Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) commemorated Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız, a former academic in the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and President of the Karaelmas University Foundation, with mercy, gratitude, and prayers through a Quran Recitation and Prayer Program held on the seventh day of his passing.
The program, held at Farabi Mosque on the Farabi Campus, was attended by BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, academic and administrative staff, members of the Yıldız family, citizens, and students.
Remembered with Quran Recitation and Prayers
At the program, which was held with broad participation, the Holy Quran was recited, and the cherished memory of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız was commemorated with mercy and prayers. During the prayers, mercy and forgiveness were sought from Almighty Allah for the late Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız, who devoted his life to science, education, and educating students, while prayers for patience were offered to his grieving family, loved ones, and the academic community.
Rector Özölçer: “Our Esteemed Professor Will Always Be Remembered with Goodness for His Scholarship, Integrity, and Humanity”
Following the program, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer made the following remarks:
“Our esteemed Professor, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız, was a respected scholar who devoted his life to science and education and contributed greatly to our university for many years. In addition to his scientific work, he held a special place in people’s hearts with his modesty, kindness, diligence, and the care he showed for his students. We came together on the seventh day of our esteemed professor’s passing and commemorated him with prayers. May our Lord accept our prayers. The scholarly legacy left behind by our late professor, the students he educated, and the values he brought to our university will continue to inspire future generations.
On this occasion, I once again pray for the mercy of Almighty Allah upon our esteemed professor, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yıldız, and extend my condolences to his loved ones, particularly his family, as well as his students, colleagues, and the entire academic community. May our Lord grant him a place in Paradise.”
