Arabic Knowledge Competition, organized for Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Theology preparatory class students, was held with strong participation and great excitement at Doç. Dr. Ali Arslan Conference Hall.
The program was attended by BEUN Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Dean of the Teoman Duralı Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş, academic staff, and a large number of students.
The competition, in which students had the opportunity to demonstrate their Arabic language skills and general cultural knowledge, was organized with the aim of supporting educational activities through social and cultural events. The program contributed not only to increasing students’ interest in their courses but also to the development of teamwork, self-confidence, and communication skills.
The event was held with intensive participation from students and attendees. Throughout the competition, participants answered questions in the fields of Arabic grammar and general culture, demonstrating their level of knowledge. During the program, questions were also directed to the audience, and at the end of the competition, Preparatory Class A achieved first place.
After the competition, awards were presented to the participants by BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer.
In his evaluation of the program, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that they attach importance to supporting students not only in their academic development but also in their social, cultural, and personal growth. He noted that this meaningful organization held at the Faculty of Theology significantly contributed to students’ motivation for learning foreign languages. Özölçer added that such events, where students can showcase their knowledge and skills, will continue to increase.
