Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Alaplı Vocational School held an Academic Board Meeting focusing on determining goals and conducting comprehensive evaluations for the future term plans for the 20225-2026 Academic Year.
The meeting was held at Alaplı Vocational School and was attended by the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the Director of Alaplı Vocational School Prof. Dr. Burçin Şolt, deputy directors, and academic staff.
Alaplı Vocational School Academic and Administrative Activities Were Discussed
Director of Alaplı Vocational School Prof. Dr. Burçin Şolt gave a presentation on the activities held in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Prof. Dr. Şolt shared detailed information about the goals for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, academic and administrative structure, number of students and academics, completed and ongoing scientific and social projects, and academic studies. Director Şolt also mentioned academic activities and social events to be held in the new academic year. She concluded her presentation expressing their gratitude to the BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, for his support.
Academics with Academic Success Were Presented with a Certificate of Appreciation
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the academics who stood out with their scientific artistic activities published in national and international indexes by Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer.
Rector Özölçer: “Alaplı Vocational School Stands Out with Its Education, Projects and Social Contributions”
In his remarks following the presentation of the certificates, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer evaluated the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Wishing 2025-2026 Academic Year to be auspicious for the university, Rector Özölçer stated that Alaplı Vocational School is one of the pillars of the university with its educational approach, project-focused initiatives, and social contributions.
Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:
“We completed the 2024-2025 Academic Year efficiently across a wide range from sector collaborations, scientific activities and social contribution. Alaplı Vocational School is an example of a supportive atmosphere that supports students’ academic and social development with energy efficiency, sustainability, zero waste and environmental awareness, disaster awareness, and family-society focused activities.
Activities such as career days organized as part of the university-sector collaboration, seminars and conferences, alumni-student meetings, and meeting with industry representatives and professionals strengthened professional development of the students. Projects entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A, local and national projects accepted by ÜNİDES, also initiatives including augmented reality, artificial intelligence, unmanned aerial vehicles, and in the field of engineering demonstrate the project capacity of Alaplı Vocational School.
Activities carried out in a wide range from sustainability and health to cultural heritage and social responsibility demonstrate the social perspective of our vocational school. With active participation and dedicated work of academic and administrative staff, Alaplı Vocational School continues to be an educational hub that adds value to local development. In this respect, I would like to thank all academic and administrative staff who contributed to the school and wish them success in their endeavors.”
