AK Party Zonguldak Member of Parliament Ahmet Çolakoğlu paid a congratulatory visit to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy.
During the visit held at the Rector’s Office, Deputy Ahmet Çolakoğlu wished Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy success in his new position and expressed his pleasure at the kind hospitality. Emphasizing that Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University has a special place among Türkiye’s well-established educational institutions, Çolakoğlu said:

“Our university, which is the showcase of Zonguldak, standing out with its industry and energy potential, is one of the most well-established academic institutions in our country. I have full confidence that Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy, who was appointed as the Rector of BEUN with the approval of our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will take our university much further with his academic knowledge, experience and vision. I sincerely congratulate our Rector and wish him health, peace and great success in his position. I wish the 2026-2027 Academic Year and the new era to bring goodness to our Zonguldak, our university and our entire region.”

Expressing his pleasure at the visit and thanking Parliament Member Çolakoğlu, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy said:
“I would like to express my gratitude to our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for entrusting me with this important duty, and I would like to thank the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, for his support, which he has never withheld from us. I am greatly honored to have undertaken such an important duty. We will work with all our strength to be worthy of this position, to take our university to better places and to add value to our city.
During our term of office, our primary goal will be to increase academic productivity, and to encourage qualified scientific studies and innovative projects. By strengthening university-industry integration, we aim to make the knowledge and technology produced on our campuses available to the service of Zonguldak, our region and our country. We will increase our efforts in every field, from education to research and from culture to art, in order to prepare our young people for the future in the best-equipped way.
With these thoughts, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our AK Party Zonguldak Member of Parliament Ahmet Çolakoğlu, for his kind visit and valuable contributions to our university, and I wish the 2026-2027 Academic Year to bring goodness to our university, the higher education community and our city.”
