Academic member of the Department of Mining Engineering at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Faculty of Engineering, and the Acting Dean of Teoman Duralı Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş, engaged in academic activity with Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University in Kazakhstan.
Prof. Dr. Melih Geniş continues to do his studies in the Department of Mineral Deposits and Mining at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University Faculty of Mining between September 1 and September 30, 2025.
In the visit supported by “ Ministry of Education and Mining (Kazakhstan)”, Prof. Dr. Geniş gives lectures and seminars as well as co-supervising Doctorate Students. In the meeting organized with the members and students of the Faculty of Mining, Prof. Dr. Geniş made an extensive presentation on BEUN and the Department of Mining Engineering.
At the meeting with high participation, discussions were held on strengthening the current partnerships between the two universities and developing new areas of joint projects.
BEUN Rector, Prof. Dr. Özölçer, commented on the visit and stated the following:
