The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer paid a congratulatory visit to Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, who has been re-elected as the President of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK).
The Physician Chief of BEUN Hospital Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadır and Director General of Hospitals Oğuzhan Bilgiç accompanied Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer during the visit.
Expressing his pleasure for the kind hospitality, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer congratulated Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, who was re-elected as the President of the Higher Education Quality Council and wished his position would be auspicious. Rector Özölçer gave information to Prof. Dr. Kocabıçak about BEUN’s academic success on the national and international levels. Prof. Dr. Özölçer also mentioned about the activities contributing to the multifaceted development of the students with social, cultural, historical, artistic, and sports projects carried out in cooperation with private sector and public institutions, as well as the scientific productivity of the university.
Emphasizing that it is a source of pride for us that BEUN was entitled to 5-year accreditation on 18 July 2025, Rector Prof. Dr. Özölçer extended his gratitude to the YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak for his valuable support in this process.
YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak expressed his pleasure for the visit and stated that BEUN has a significant place among the national and international academic community with its studies.
