
Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, paid a visit to İbni Sina Campus to see the University’s progress in healthcare. During his visit, he examined the ongoing work in the Family Health Center, BEUN Hospital, and Ahmet Erdoğan Vocational School of Health Services. He was informed about the projects by officials.
Prof. Dr. Özölçer met Prof. Dr. Hande Aydemir, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadir, Chief Physician of BEUN Hospital, and academic and administrative staff during his visit.
Prof. Dr. Özölçer: “We are building a better health infrastructure with each passing day.”
Following his inspections, Prof. Dr. Özölçer stated that the university hospital and all healthcare units are getting stronger both in academic and service aspects. He shared the following remarks:
“Investments in healthcare not only strengthen the current service potential but also reflect our strong vision for the future. BEUN Hospital is a significant health center that welcomes patients not only from Zonguldak but from all across Türkiye with its patient-centered approach, academic competence, and technological infrastructure. Our Vocational School will contribute to the students, academic and administrative staff with its renewed structure.”
Prof. Dr. Özölçer, personally inspecting the Family Health Center, which is to be opened shortly, stated that infrastructure renovations in the campus, exterior restorations, and improvements to social spaces contribute to the health vision of the university.
Expressing his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Kemal Memmişoğlu, Minister of Health, and Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Turkish Higher Education, for their unwavering support, Prof. Dr. Özölçer also thanked the healthcare professionals, academic and administrative staff who have contributed to this progress.
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University continues to contribute to scientific advancement and regional development through its strong incentives in the healthcare system.
