Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), paid a visit to Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Rector of Ankara University, in his office.
During the meeting held at the Ankara University Rectorate, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding academic developments, collaborations, and quality-oriented initiatives in higher education between the two well-established institutions.
The discussions focused on increasing the scientific production capacity of universities, strengthening research and development (R&D) activities, and the contributions of higher education institutions to social development. Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer provided information on projects carried out by Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, highlighting its recent work in academic achievement, internationalization, and research. Emphasizing that BEUN has undertaken significant projects not only in the academic field but also in social, cultural, scientific, and athletic areas through joint efforts with public institutions, the private sector, and local stakeholders, Özölçer underscored that supporting the multifaceted development of students remains among the university's core priorities. Touching upon the university's strategic steps toward international academic cooperation and projects contributing to regional development, Özölçer stated that strong communication and collaboration between higher education institutions are of great importance for scientific progress.

Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar thanked Rector Özölçer for his kind visit and stated that they follow the progress demonstrated by Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University in the academic community with great pleasure. Presentation of the Work Chronicling BEUN’s Successes
Within the scope of the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer presented the work titled " Bir Asırlık Birikim, Yeni Bir Vizyon: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi " (A Century of Experience, A New Vision: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University) to Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar. The publication covers the university's academic studies conducted between 2022 and 2025, its national and international collaborations, achievements in scientific, cultural, artistic, and athletic fields, visionary projects contributing to social awareness, and the significant progress recorded in institutional accreditation processes.
The visit, where mutual well-wishes were exchanged, concluded with a commemorative photo session.
