The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer paid a visit to Çaycuma Mayor Bülent Kantarcı in his office.
During the visit held at Çaycuma Municipality, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Director of Çaycuma Vocational School Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zor, and the Director of Çaycuma Vocational School of Food and Agriculture Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Karaelmas were present.
Mutual projects that could be carried out as part of the university- municipality collaboration, initiatives that could contribute to Çaycuma’s social, cultural, and economic development, as well as evaluations on the strengthening the university-local management collaboration were discussed during the visit.
Expressing his pleasure for the kind hospitality, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer talked about the regional development focused initiatives of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and stated that the vocational schools in Çaycuma continue to contribute to the development of the district with its academic and practice-oriented educational activities. He also emphasized that the strong cooperation between local management and university contributes to raising qualified students and sustainable development of the city.
Çaycuma Mayor Bülent Kantarcı expressed his thanks to the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and his delegation for their kind visit and stated that Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University is in a significant position among higher education institutions with its initiatives. He congratulated Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and BEUN community for their successful initiatives and wished them success.
