
Former President of Religious Affairs, Mehmet Nuri Yılmaz and Zonguldak Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir, paid a visit to the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN), Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, in his office.
The meeting, held at the Rectorate, was attended by BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the District Governor of Karadeniz Ereğli, Fatih Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, former President of Religious Affairs Mehmet Nuri Yılmaz, and the Mufti of Zonguldak, İbrahim Halil Demir.
BEUN’s Academic Achievements and Vision Shared
Expressing his pleasure from the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer provided comprehensive information about the university’s recent academic achievements, its national and international collaborations, and its quality-oriented development process.
In his remarks, Rector Özölçer emphasized that universities are not only institutions that produce academic knowledge but also multidimensional structures that guide social development, stating:
“As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, while continuously increasing our scientific productivity, we also implement significant projects in social, cultural, historical, artistic, and sports fields through strong collaborations with public institutions and the private sector.
