
AK Party Zonguldak Member of Parliament Ahmet Çolakoğlu visited Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Çaycuma Campus. In the visit, Director of Çaycuma Vocational School Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zor, Deputy Director Lecurer Dr. Doğan Kılıç, Deputy Directors of Çaycuma Food and Agriculture Vocational School, Assist. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Üstündağ and Lecturer Dr. Hakan Tüfek, as well as AK Party Çaycuma District Chairman Birol Yiğit were present.
During the visit Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zor thanked Parliament Member Ahmet Çolakoğlu for his kind visit and gave him detailed information on the hands-on education approach, scientific productivity, and academic success of Çaycuma Vocational School and Çaycuma Food and Agriculture Vocational School at the national and international levels. Director Zor pointed out that vocational schools in Çaycuma not only have a pioneering role in the academic fields but also in the social responsibility and contribution aspects. He also added:
As Çaycuma Vocational School and Çaycuma Food and Agriculture Vocational School, under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, we don’t limit our productive and innovative vision on academic education but focus on creating projects that will increase our students’ social awareness, cultural richness and professional proficiency. We aim to raise our students as well-qualified individuals for the professional world with the help of projects in collaboration with the public institutions and private sector. We prioritize social, cultural, historical and sports activities in order to raise multifaceted individuals.”
AK Party Zonguldak Member of Parliament Ahmet Çolakoğlu expressed his appreciation for the kind hospitality and congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zor wishing him success in his endeavors.
Çolakoğlu emphasized the contribution of the Vocational schools to the local economy in his speech. He stated that both vocational schools hold a significant position in the academic world carrying out scientific and industrial studies from agriculture and logistics to mining and veterinary medicine and added:
“We are proud of the success of valued units, Çaycuma Vocational School and Çaycuma Food and Agriculture Vocational School, of our university that is the face of our city, capital of energy and industry with its longstanding history of 101 years. Behind this success lies a visionary management style, a strong teamwork of academic and administrative staff. In this spirit, I congratulate Rector Özölçer being in the first place, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University family, for their success and wish them success in their endeavors.
