The evaluation process of the additional quota applications received at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) between 29 July and 9 August 2026 for the international students has been completed. A total of 3727 applications from 43 countries applied for 130 programs announced for international students’ additional quota at BEUN.

Continuing its efforts with determination in line with its internationalization goals, BEUN further strengthens its position among the higher education institutions preferred by students from different parts of the world, with the high number of international student applications received in 2026.

High Interest in BEUN from International Students

The fact that BEUN received 3,727 applications from 43 different countries for the additional international student quota for 130 different undergraduate and associate degree programs once again demonstrated its appeal among prospective international students. BEUN, having received applications from 5,511 international students from 51 different countries during the first application period held in June, continued its steady rise in the field of internationalization with strong interest from different countries during the additional quota period as well.

Evaluation Process Has Been Completed Meticulously

The results will be announced after 5.30 pm on 14 August 2026 following the evaluations held between 13-14 August 2026. The application evaluation process was conducted meticulously by the relevant committees and staff to ensure a thorough and careful assessment of all applications.

Rector Özölçer: “International Students from Different Parts of the World Prefer Our University”

In his remarks on the topic, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:

“Receiving 3,727 applications from international students from 43 different countries for the 2026–2027 academic year demonstrates that our university is becoming an increasingly preferred higher education institution on the international stage. Indeed, the fact that students from different countries choose our university is an important indication of the trust placed in the quality of our academic education, our capacity for scientific production, the opportunities we provide for our students, and our university’s international vision. With this in mind, I would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff, especially the members of the relevant committees, for their hard work in diligently carrying out the application and evaluation process. I would like to congratulate in advance all students who will be admitted to our university following the evaluation process, and we look forward to welcoming them as members of the BEUN family.
