
The ‘Women’s Studies Student Congress’, organized for the third time this year in cooperation with between the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (KASUAM) and the Women’s Studies Student Club, began with its opening session. Promoting academic production, strengthening social awareness, and enhancing the visibility of students’ academic work, the congress attracted significant attention and strong participation.
During the program, which started with the opening speeches of the Director of KASUAM Asst. Prof. Dr. Figen Uzar Özdemir and Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atilla Barutçu, comprehensive information on the initiatives taken in the last four years, organized events, collaborations, and research projects was shared.
The congress will be held at Ahmet Zengin Conference Hall at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, continuing to bring together the academics and students. up-to-date topics in the field of women’s studies will be covered in the congress including participants from various fields.

In his remarks on the topic, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:
“Qualified events like the Women’s Studies Student Congress are significant in terms of providing students with the opportunity to improve their scientific thinking skills, raising awareness for the social rules, and participating in the academic production process.
This meaningful congress held at our university shows how young people have the strong capacity to share their academic knowledge. With this in mind, I would like to thank particularly to Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center, Women Studies Students’ Club, valuable academics, and those who contributed to the congress. I congratulate our students who shared their academic work in the congress and wish continuous success in their academic journey.”
