Rector Özölçer: “We Attach Great Importance to Every Investment that Supports a Culture of Reading and Research”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer emphasized that the university places great importance on improving both physical and academic opportunities to ensure students receive a high-quality education. Highlighting that a strong culture of reading and scientific research is an indispensable element of a robust academic environment, he stated:
“I am very pleased that such a qualified space, which will support our students’ academic development and strengthen their reading and research habits, has been brought to our University. We believe that reading and study areas—places where knowledge is produced, shared, and preserved—hold a very important place in university life. In this regard, we continue to improve our physical facilities so that our students can pursue their studies in a more productive academic environment. I sincerely thank all of our academic and administrative staff who contributed to the realization of this valuable project. I firmly believe that our students will benefit from this comfortable and productive environment in the best possible way and develop themselves both academically and personally. On this occasion, I wish our dear students a successful educational journey and hope that this reading hall will be beneficial for our Faculty, our University, and our valued students.”
The program concluded with a tour of the reading hall, a conversation with students, and a commemorative group photograph.
