A cooperation protocol was signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) within the scope of the İhtisas Akademi (Specialization Academy) Project, which aims to contribute to the academic, social, and cultural development of university students.
The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Zonguldak Provincial Representative of Turkish Youth Foundation Yusuf İslam Karakurt and TÜGVA Zonguldak Management Team attended the signature ceremony held at Rectorate Senate Hall.
With İhtisas Academy Project to be carried out by BEUN and TÜGVA cooperation in line with the protocol, it is aimed to raise awareness among university students on national and international social and cultural initiatives, to strengthen their academic background, to improve their socio-cultural awareness and promotion of scientific studies. Academic training, seminars, and various activities are planned within the scope of the project.
Rector Özölçer: “We Care about the Multidimensional Development of Students”
In his remarks on the cooperation protocol, the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that universities are not just institutions that provide theoretical and practical training that prepares students for their professional lives; but they have a role in their multifaceted development in academic, social, and cultural fields and added:
“Universities do not just share information but are institutions that provide students with the social responsibility awareness and prepare them for the future. In this respect, I believe strong collaboration with non-governmental institutions is significant. I strongly believe that İhtisas Academy Project, to be carried out in cooperation with TÜGVA, will enhance the academic productivity of our students and provide a platform that promotes scientific studies and contribute to the literature. I express my thanks to the President of the Turkish Youth Foundation İbrahim Beşinci, TÜGVA management, and Zonguldak Provincial Representatives and wish this protocol, which is shaped around mutual goals and a strong vision, to be auspicious for our students.
