
A cooperation protocol was signed between Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) and the Zonguldak Branch of Turkish Green Crescent Society, covering education awareness raising, and social responsibility activities within the scope of combating addiction.
The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Zonguldak Branch Manager of Turkish Green Crescent Nail Altuntaş and association representatives attended the signing ceremony held at the Rectorate Building.
With the protocol signed between BEUN and Green Crescent, it is aimed to organize seminars, conferences, educational activities and workshops in the field of combat against addiction for the university students as well as the academic and administrative staff.

Rector Özölçer emphasized that universities are not just centers to produce information but also has a mission to raise healthy, conscious, and strong individuals.
“Combating against addiction is not an individual but a social responsibility. It is one of our priorities to raise individuals who stay away from harmful habits, are conscious, and strong individuals. In this respect, I believe that the collaboration between BEUN and Zonguldak Branch of Türkiye Green Crescent will raise awareness among students and provide a base for an effective and sustainable platform supported by scientific and social initiatives. I hope this protocol will be auspicious for our university and valuable students.
