Turkish Red Crescent Zonguldak Branch Chairman Kürşat Yağız and the accompanying delegation visited Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy, who was appointed as the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his office and wished him success in his new position.

During the visit held at the Rector’s office, Turkish Red Crescent Zonguldak Branch Chairman Kürşat Yağız, Karadeniz Ereğli Branch Chairman Ramazan Toprak, Zonguldak Blood Donation Center Director Dr. Mehmet Günaydın, Zonguldak Provincial Center Women’s Branch Chairwoman Mevlüde Yalçıner, Turkish Red Crescent Zonguldak Branch Board Member Deniz Yılmaz, and Young Turkish Red Crescent Zonguldak Provincial Chairman Tolgahan Köroğlu were present.

Expressing his pleasure at the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy said:

“Turkish Red Crescent is a well-established plane tree of kindness that carries hope to oppressed regions around the world living under the shadow of war, disasters, and poverty, and represents our nation’s spirit of compassion, conscience, and solidarity. Being part of this sacred mission, which places human dignity at its center, and contributing to this chain of solidarity is a great honor and a moral responsibility for us.

As Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, we consider it our duty to continuously develop our vision focused on serving society alongside our academic activities. We attach great importance to our students taking part in social responsibility projects and volunteer-based activities, particularly blood donation campaigns. In the coming period, we will continue to develop projects that raise social awareness by further strengthening our cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent.
