Prof. Dr. Nihat Yılmaz, an academic at Karabük University Faculty of Medicine, Yücel Mercimek, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZTSO), Yunus Karaahmetoğlu, Imam of Fener Yunus Emre Mosque, and businesspeople İhsan Mercimek and Osman Yeşilyurt paid a congratulatory visit to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy, who was appointed as the Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the reception held at the Rector’s office, the guests thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy for his kind hospitality and wished the entire BEUN family a successful 2026–2027 Academic Year.
Expressing his pleasure at the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Ulusoy noted that universities are higher education institutions that add value to their cities and regions not only through high-quality scientific research but also through strong ties with the business world, academia, and civil society. Stating that BEUN aims to contribute to the socioeconomic and cultural development of Zonguldak and strengthen cooperation with public institutions and industrial organizations, Rector Ulusoy thanked his guests for their kind visit and congratulatory wishes.
