Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer paid a congratulatory visit to Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, who was appointed as Vice Rector of Ankara University.

BEUN Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Burak Bahadır and Director of Zonguldak Technopark Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferdi Kesikoğlu accompanied Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer during his visit at Ankara University.

In his remarks on the visit Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated the following:

“The fact that Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun carried out his duties as Rector with great dedication over two terms, his contributions to university’s academic success, research ecosystem, and sociocultural development and development of Bartın is extremely significant for higher education community.

His previous efforts for our university in his administrative and academic initiatives contributed to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. I wholeheartedly believe that he will achieve great success at Ankara University in the administrative and academic arena. I hope his new position will be auspicious, and wish him health, peace, and success.

It is with great pride and satisfaction that we follow the Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar provides significant contributions to Ankara and Ankara University with his visionary management approach. I believe this strong academic background and institutional experience will lead to great success and pay my respects.”

Appreciation from Prof. Dr. Uzun to Rector Özölçer

Expressing his pleasure with the kind visit, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun stated that Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer contributed to university’s development in the fields of academia, social life, culture and sports.

Expressing that BEUN has achieved a significant position in higher education community with its academic performance, quality-focused studies, and internationalization vision and stated that they follow its success with appreciation. Reminding his time as Bartın University Rector when they had collaborations with BEUN under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Uzun wished all BEUN community success in the name of Prof. Dr. Özölçer.

During the visit in a sincere atmosphere Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer presented Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun with the book detailing the activities of BEUN between 2022-2025, titled “Bir Asırlık Birikim, Yeni Bir Vizyon: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi” (A Century of Experience, A New Vision: Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University). The visit concluded with mutual best wishes and a commemorative photo.
