The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer paid a congratulatory visit to Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit, who has been appointed as the Rector of Bolu İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ).
During the visit held at the Rectorate building, Prof. Dr. Özölçer congratulated Prof. Dr. Yiğit, who has been appointed as the Rector of BAİBÜ upon the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and wished his new position would be auspicious for the university, city, and academic community.
Prof. Dr. Özölçer stated that Prof. Dr. Yiğit’s previous positions as a consultant at Turkish Aerospace and as the Deputy President of Defense Industries as well as his current position as the Chairman of Roketsan will strongly reflect on the higher education. Emphasizing that Prof. Dr. Yiğit’s experiences will contribute to the Bolu İzzet Baysal University on the local and national levels, Özölçer stated that universities are institutions which produce knowledge while leading the development vision of the country.
Expressing his pleasure for the kind visit, Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit stated that BEUN has a special position among higher education community with is academic performance, quality-focused initiatives, and internationalization vision. Highlighting that they appreciate the achievements of the university, Prof. Dr. Yiğit wished all BEUN community success before Prof. Dr. Özölçer.
