A total of 5,513 students were placed into associate and undergraduate degree programs at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) as part of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). According to the placement results, 99% of BEUN’s total quotas were filled.

5,513 Students Preferred BEUN

According to the 2026 YKS results announced by Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University is preparing for a strong start for the new academic year with its high occupancy rate.

2,315 of 2,318 quotas announced for the undergraduate programs and 3,198 of 3,219 quotas for the associate degree programs at BEUN were filled in 2026-2027 Academic Year reaching up to 99% occupancy rate.

5,513 students were placed into the 5,557 quotas announced including the general quotas, quotas for top-ranking students of high schools, and quotas for women over the age of 34. Thus, general occupancy rate reached 99 percent.

Rector Ulusoy: “Students’ Success and Future is Our Priority”

In his remarks on the 2026 YKS results, BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy stated the following:

“We are glad to see that our university reached 99 percent occupancy rate according to the 2026 YKS results. The fact that 5,513 students preferred Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and joined our community is a strong sign of the trust for the quality focused education, academic success, and opportunities provided.

We believe it is one of our primary responsibilities to provide every student who chooses our University and joins our community with a qualified educational environment where they can develop themselves academically, professionally, socially, and culturally, and prepare confidently for the future with their knowledge and skills. With this understanding, while further enhancing the quality of our academic education activities, we will continue to strengthen our scientific research capacity and increase the opportunities that support the social, cultural, and professional development of our students.
