The 10th Anniversary, 2026 August issue [2026; Volume 10 (Issue 2)] of Turkish Journal of Diabetes and Obesity, published in collaboration with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University(BEUN) Obesity and Diabetes Application and Research Center and Turkish Association for Diabetes and Obesity (TOAD), has been released.
Turkish Journal of Diabetes and Obesity, which was first published in 2017 and has been listed in TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM TR index since 2019, continues to release up-to-date, authentic, and multidisciplinary scientific studies for its readers. The August issue of the 10th Volume of the Journal features scientific studies in the fields from nutrition, health behaviour, health literacy, metabolic parameters, and experimental studies as well as researchers handling various aspects of diabetes and obesity. In addition, the relationship between stigma, burnout and self-management in individuals with Type 2 diabetes, the relationship between smartphone addiction and diabetes self-management in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes, and eating attitudes and behaviours associated with the risk of Type 2 diabetes in young adults were addressed.
Efforts to Improve the Scientific Quality of the Journal Continue
In his evaluations on the 2025 December Issue, The Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Prof. Dr. Taner Bayraktaroğlu stated that significant steps have been taken to enhance publication quality and scientific context of the journal in accordance with the collaboration protocol signed with Turkish Association for the Studies of Obesity. He expressed his thanks particularly to the BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy, writers, referees, advisory board, language editors, editorial board, Directorate of Library and Documentation and publishing house.
