Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (BEUN) State Conservatory held an Academic Board Meeting focusing on determining goals and conducting comprehensive evaluations for the future term plans for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
The Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the Director of State Conservatory Prof. Dr. İlker Kömürcü, deputy directors, and academic staff attended the meeting held at State Conservatory on Farabi Campus.
Academic Studies and Artistic Activities Were Evaluated at State Conservatory
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the Director of State Conservatory Prof. Dr. İlker Kömürcü and Deputy Director Asst. Prof. Melike Bolat gave a detailed presentation on the educational, academic, and artistic activities held during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
Prof. Dr. Kömürcü and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bolat shared detailed information about the goals for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, academic and administrative structure, number of students and academics, completed and ongoing projects, and arts activities held on the national and international levels. Also mentioning academic activities to be held in the new academic year, concerts, festivals, and social events, Kömürcü and Bolat concluded their presentation expressing their gratitude to the BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, for his support.
Academics with Academic Success Were Presented with a Certificate of Appreciation
Following the presentation, the academics who stood out with their art works and their scientific studies published in national and international indexes were presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer.
Rector Özölçer: “State Conservatory is a Source of Pride in the National and International Arena”
Following the presentation of the certificate, Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer made a general evaluation on the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Wishing the 2025-2026 Academic Year Spring Term be auspicious for the university family, Rector Özölçer emphasized that State Conservatory has a significant place in the academic success, cultural and artistic visibility of the university and added:
“We completed the 2024-2025 Academic Year efficiently across a wide range from education and scientific activities to production and social contribution. State Conservatory is a source of pride for us with its qualified graduates, success in the field of art on the national and international platforms and its academic units. It is extremely valuable for us that our graduates start working at the State and Opera Ballet as artists, academics took part in Expo 2025 Osaka World Fair concert, and representation of our university by the Department of Instrument Making and Repair in IMEEF International Music Industry Fair. Also, achievements attained in line with the sustainable environment policies and zero waste goal are a strong representation of institutional awareness. We will continue our initiatives with a visionary approach that prioritizes innovation, brings art together with global values, and strengthens scientific production and international collaboration. I wholeheartedly thank all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process and wish them success in their endeavors.”
