Event Rules and Participation Requirements

Application Process

• Candidates who wish to participate in the competition must fill out the attached Application Form completely and send it via e-mail to startherup@beun.edu.tr.
• Applications will only be accepted via e-mail; applications submitted in person or through other channels will not be considered.
• Application deadline: November 16, 2025
• Application forms submitted after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.

Participation Requirements

• Women entrepreneurs and entrepreneur candidates may participate in the competition individually or as a group.
• A group may consist of a maximum of five members.
• A separateapplication form must be completed for each group member, and each form must be sent to startherup@beun.edu.tr.
• Each participant may apply to the competition with only one business idea.
• Projects or business ideas must be original and must not violate the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Event Schedule

• Event start date: November 18, 2025
• Training program: A total of six training sessions will be held on November 18, 2025.
• Following the training sessions, on November 19, 2025, the entrepreneur candidates will make presentations to the jury.
• The detailed schedule and venue information for the training and jury sessions will be sent to participants via e-mail.

Training and Presentation Process

• Participants are expected to take an active part in all training sessions.
• At the end of the training, each participant or group will present their business idea to the jury members within the specified time.
• The presentation format, duration, and technical details will be shared before the jury day.

Evaluation and Awards

• The jury evaluation will be based on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, sustainability, social impact, and presentation performance.
• The jury’s decision is final and cannot be changed.
• As a result of the evaluation, the winning entrepreneurs will be awarded as follows:

First Prize: 20,000 TL

Second Prize: 15,000 TL

Third Prize: 10,000 TL

• Awards will be presented to the winners at a ceremony to be held following the jury presentations.

Photography and Video Recording

• During the event, photo and video recordings will be taken during the training sessions, jury sessions, and the award ceremony.
• By applying to the competition, participants are deemed to have given consent for these recordings to be used in the promotional, social media, website, and press activities of BEUN, Zonguldak Technopark, BEUN Career Center, and BEUN Technology Transfer Office.
• The images and video recordings will be used for promotional purposes only and will not be commercially transferred to third parties.

Privacy and Protection of Personal Data

• The personal data shared by participants during the application process will be protected within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
• The data will be used only for competition organization, communication, and evaluation processes and will not be shared with third parties.

General Provisions

• BEUN reserves the right to make changes to the competition schedule or rules when deemed necessary.
• All candidates participating in the competition are considered to have read, understood, and accepted these rules.
